General School Rules

See also "Policies & Procedures"

Christian discipline is essentially self discipline, whereby children learn to regulate their behaviour according to Christian values.

The following rules have been set down so that St. Peter's will be a happy, safe and orderly Christian school of which we can be proud. Our basic rule is to treat others the way we like to be treated.

  • Children are  expected to take good care of all their belongings and all school property.  Any damage should be reported to the Leadership team.
  • Bicycles are to be locked and may not be ridden in grounds. Skates/skate boards/roller blades are not permitted in school grounds.
  • Children are to walk on verandahs and all cement areas.
  • Dress standards are in accordance with those laid down under "School Uniform".
  • Chewing gum is not permitted.
  • Fighting, tackle sport and the use of abusive language will not be tolerated.
  • Children are to play in designated areas.
  • Children are only permitted in classrooms if a teacher is present.
  • Personal toys are not permitted at school because of the ease with which they are damaged.
  • Children must travel directly to and from school unless the  Principal has received written notice from parents to the contrary.
