St Peters has expanded its instrumental program over the last few years to encourage a love of music and give students the chance to explore new concepts through instrumental tuition.

St Peters offers private tuition from Year 5 in the following instruments:
  • Piano
  • Guitar
  • Trumpet
  • Saxophone
  • Flute
  • Clarinet
  • Drums and Percussion
Small ensembles are formed from students learning instruments and performances and eisteddfods are part of the instrumental calendar.

This encourages team work and allows students to gain valuable insights into performance skills that should enhance their musical journey through Secondary school.

St Peter’s Dance Troupe

The Dance Troupe at St Peter's began in 2006 and is assembled each year from boys and girls in Years 2 to 6. The students train one afternoon per week learning and enhancing their skills in  different areas of dance.

St Peter's Dance Troupe commences in Term 1 and finishes the final week of the school year. Junior Troupe consists of students from Years 2 and 3, who train one afternoon per week for 45 minutes.  Senior Troupe consists of students from Years 4, 5 and 6, who also train one afternoon per week for 45 minutes.  Boys hip hop caters for students in Years 2-6 and training takes place weekly within a lunch break.

There is a cost incurred for dance troupe lessons of $90.00 per student which includes a shirt. Students don't need any prior dance training, just a love of the performing arts and dedication to the class. The dedicated parents and staff who support our dance program week after week have made the St Peter's dance troupe a popular and much loved extra-curricular activity.
