Physical Education & Sport

At St Peter's Catholic Primary School, we believe in the importance of being physically active to support a healthy body and mind.

Physical Education (PE) is taught as a specialist subject area from Prep to Year 6 with a specific focus on the Movement Health and Physical Activity strand of the Health and Physical Education (HPE) curriculum. Students in Prep and Year 1 are provided with the opportunity to participate in physical activity for 40 minutes each week as a minimum part of the Health and Physical Education curriculum. Students in Years 2 - 6 engage in a double PE lesson (80 minutes) each fortnight.
