INTERSCHOOL GALA DAY:

We are excited to once again partner with St Columban’s and benefit from the experience of their students throughout sporting opportunities including these gala days.

Touch – 15 games were played by our 3 girls touch teams. 9 wins, 5 losses and 1 draw were recorded. Congratulations to Cleo who leads the try scoring tally for St Peter’s. The Senior Team made up of our Year 6 girls lead by example with speed, skill and scoring tries.

Rugby 7s – St Peter’s Under 12s and Under 11s Blue went undefeated at the gala day. Under 11s Yellow only lost one game against St Peter’s Blue and Under 11s White won 2 games and lost 3. Our staff were amazed at the talent and skills on field by our teams. This was only out shone by the sportsmanship displayed by all teams!

Netball – The Senior 1 team was undefeated and the Senior 2 team had 2 wins and 3 losses. Our Junior team had 2 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss. The girls showed incredible sportsmanship on and off the field and had huge amounts of fun on the day.

Cricket – Our 3 cricket teams were constantly on the move between games and demonstrating their skills in the modified Twenty 20 format. Thank you to Cricket QLD for assisting at the gala day and will tally the scores and results from each game. T

STATE TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS

We have two students representing Sunshine Coast Region this week at the State Track and Field Championships held at QLD State Athletics Centre. Reegan will compete in the 100m final for the Under 10 boys on Thursday and on Friday in the 4 x 100m Relay. Jasmin will participate in Under 11s Discus on Friday. Qualifying at this level is an outstanding achievement for Reegan and Jasmin and we would like to wish them both all the best for their events this week.

REGIONAL CRICKET

Luke (Year 4) represented Caboolture District in the Under 12s Regional Cricket Carnival held at Caloundra last week. Luke thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Congratulations Luke!

GYMNASTICS

"Balance” was the focus for last week’s Prep and Year 1 lessons. Hanging from bars, walking on beams, jumping, landing and throwing are just some of the activities provided by Dancefever Coach Mr. Yo.
