Teachers at St Peter’s have been working hard implementing the first of the BCE NuMa Strategy monitoring tools, Trusting the Count. All students across the school have been monitored by their teacher to ensure they have developed a good sense of number. By using this tool gaps in learning can be identified and targeted teaching provided for students to meet their individual need. Next week along with two of our teachers, Alana Moffat and Geoff D’Elboux, I will attend the next in the series of workshops, introducing the BCE Place Value monitoring tool. We look forward to sharing more about our NuMa journey with you at our Parent Summit next term. Please save the date for our annual Parent Summit on Tuesday 29 October.
