Jubilate Deo - Senior Choir

Attending the Jubilate Deo (which means ‘rejoice’ or ‘shout’ with God) was a real highlight for me last week. Forty-Five Senior Choir students joined with students from eight other BCE schools to form a choir of 320 students. Under the guidance of conductor, Eliza De Castro – currently State Music Coordinator for Australian Girls’ Choir in QLD, they performed a number of songs they have been practising over many months. The outcome was truly spectacular. Our thanks to our Music Specialist Mrs Kim Hayes whose work with our students had them beautifully prepared for this event. I was extremely proud of our students who were wonderful ambassadors for our community. The group are looking forward to performing again next term at St Peter’s Arts Evening and the Spring Fair.
