Book Week

This year St Peter’s will join schools all around Australia to celebrate Book Week, commemorating children’s books and the joy of reading. Book Week will be held during Week 6 from August 19 - 23. This year’s theme is ‘Reading Is My Secret Power’ and students will be taking part in a variety of activities in their classroom throughout the week to celebrate.

One of the main events will be the whole school Character Dress Up Day which will be on Monday August 19. Students are able to come to school dressed up as a character from a book and share their costume at our Monday assembly at 11:15am in the undercover area. Parents are welcome to attend the assembly.

We will also have an author visit from Sue-Ellen Pashley author of ‘The Jacket’ as well as story time with Jack Reed and Steve Kefu. It will be an exciting week of celebrating literature at St Peter’s.
